Australian Labradoodle FAQ

About the breed

  • What is an Australian Labradoodle?
A multigenerational breed developed in Australia from Labrador Retriever, Poodle and Cocker Spaniel lines. Both parents are Australian Labradoodles, which makes coat, size and temperament more predictable. Our dogs are registered with the ALAA.

  • Are they good for people with allergies?
Their soft fleece coats are low to non-shedding, which may make them a good fit for some families with allergy concerns. No dog is completely allergen-free, so if allergies are serious, ask about spending time with one of our adult dogs first.

  • How big will my puppy get?
We raise mini and medium Australian Labradoodles. Depending on the size of their parents and grandparents, our puppies are 10 to 40 lbs full grown. Each litter announcement lists the expected adult weight.

  • What is Puppy Culture?
A structured socialization program for a puppy's first weeks. We handle puppies daily, introduce new sounds, surfaces and people, and start early manners, so they leave us confident and curious.

  • What health testing do the parents have?
Our breeding dogs complete health testing before they are ever bred, including OFA evaluations, PennHIP hip scoring, eye exams and genetic testing, following ALAA standards.

Price & reserving

How much does a puppy cost?
Our puppies are $3,800 plus Washington State sales tax, regardless of sex, color or size. For deposits placed on or after January 1, 2027, the price is $4,000 plus tax.

What comes with my puppy?
A vet check and clean health report, up-to-date vaccinations, deworming, a microchip, ALAA registration, 30 days of Trupanion pet insurance, a 2-year health warranty against genetic health issues, a Snuggle Puppy, toys that carry the scent of mom and littermates, and a lifetime of coaching from us.

How does reserving a puppy work?
Fill out our application and we'll set up a phone chat about upcoming litters. Once you're approved, a $500 non-refundable deposit reserves your place and goes toward the total price. The balance is due when puppies are 6 weeks old.

Do I get to choose my puppy?
We match puppies to families using our own observations and evaluations from professional trainers and temperament evaluators. You're welcome to visit at about 6 to 7 weeks and tell us your favorites, and we take those into account.

Delivery & pick-up

Do you deliver to Seattle and the Eastside?
Yes. Most Seattle, Bellevue, Kirkland, Redmond and Mercer Island families pick up in Bonney Lake, roughly 45 minutes to an hour away. We can also arrange a convenient meet-up spot, and a flight nanny is available for families farther away, priced by location.

What is your Guardian Program?
A Guardian Family raises one of our future breeding dogs as their own pet, at a reduced price, while we keep breeding rights. After the dog's breeding career, it is spayed or neutered and stays with the family for good. Guardians need to live within an hour of Bonney Lake.

How can I leave a review?
We'd love to hear how your Foothills puppy is doing. Leave us a Google review.
